The country's power facilities have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

Russian forces has intensified strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

He said that 450 drones and over thirty rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.
